Find a professional gate installation in Hawthorn West

We have a driveway and pedestrian gate that needs a refresh. Ideally a sand blast to remove old paint and strip, a seal/rust treatment and a new coat of paint. The driveway gate is a double and the pedestrian is a pretty normal gate. Both gates are pretty simple is design without a lot of ornate detail.

I'm looking for someone to reinstall my existing front metal pedestrian gate after new concrete has been poured. The gate was removed to allow the concreting works to be completed. Because the new footpath has a slightly different finished level, the gate will need to be adjusted and rehung so that it: - Opens and closes smoothly - Has adequate clearance over the new concrete - Is level and aligned with the brick pillars - Latches securely The existing hinges, latch and gate will all be reused if possible. The job may require minor adjustment of the hinge position or hardware to suit the new levels. Photos of the gate before removal and the current opening are attached. Location: Hawthorn VIC Preferred date: Friday (this week), ideally after the concrete has had a few days to cure. Please note: The concrete was poured on Wednesday and will have been exposed on Thursday, so care will be needed to avoid damaging the newly finished surface while reinstalling the gate.

Electric gate moving slowly. Has happened before in cold weather and capacitor needed changing - suspect it is same issue

The side fence was replaced and the gate is no longer aligned, it cannot be closed properly, the gate or hopefully just the latch needs re-alignment. Should probably only take a few minutes for someone with the skills and tools.

The front gate is very difficult to open and close as it has gradually dropped and touches the ground. I assume it needs to be re-hung.

gate is currently not closing properly. requires replacement of the gate in a solid finish (timber or similar) - not fence palings. We will paint the fence. We will provide lock for you to fit - Lockwood - see image attached Will require some carpentry skills

Side fence with gate in centre 2300mm wide. One post moves needs to be replaced and cemented in so will not move

Hi there, Our building inspector suggested we get a licensed plumber in to check out a damp issue at the property my partner and I are looking to buy. There are a couple of leaks in the bathroom, from the shower head, between the shower screen and the wall, and the main concern is the dampness showing up in the bedroom wall (right next to the bathroom) we’re not sure what’s causing it. Remove existing spacers used to secure pet divider to wall, then re-secure pet divider to wall using either two small timber blocks or one vertical piece of timber to plug the gap between divider and wall and using bigger screws and plugs than existing, so the wall hooks do not come off the wall. See photos.

Handyman needed to install child safety gate at top of stairs. You’ll need a masonry drill to drill thru gyprock and brick. Full instructions provided.

Affix a garden gate latch (byo screws). Also fix a sticky garden gate and a front door twist knob lock that no longer turns. Photos included. Probably will only take 10-15 minutes.

My driveway entry gate is not functioning properly and needs attention/service. It’s an automatic sliding gate powered by a Tau K100M motor. See photos. The gate will not open without manual effort as the cog on the motor will not grip on the gate frame (to pull and slide it open). It closes no problem. I have a video that shows this clearly. I’ve examined the parts and there doesn’t appear to be any wear and tear causing this.

We have 2 timber doors(gates) with locks. Both locks aren’t locking properly and the locks aren’t secure enough. We want to modify the doors to be much more secure and the locks safe!

Hey team! We have space for our dogs underneath our stairs which we need a safety door / gate installed, it has to be one that allows airflow for the dogs when they sleep at night. The issue is - the baby gate we have doesn’t fit the minimum requirement (620 wide door) and i am not a handyman whatsoever We are needing someone to make up a custom gate either using what we already have or something new (open to suggestions) I am also aware of this being a bit more expensive if extra things are needed to be purchased. I need assistance replacing the rotten wood and re-hanging a gate that has collapsed. The wood on each side of the gate that is attached to the fence and the house is completely rotten and needs replacing and re-attaching. The gate will then need to be re-hung and aligned. The gate and each bit of wood that it is attached to are approximately 210cm tall.
