I need a brick fence 1.8 m long to be constructed. It will include two brick columns at either end. Columns to be finished with corbel tops. Columns to be 350mm x 350mm and approx. 1.6m high. The infill panel between the posts to be of single skin brick approx. 1.3m high. I would like the two columns to be core filled and the completed fence to be lightly bagged. The job consists of approx. 300 bricks. All bricks supplied. They are solid clay commons (nubrik). I also have GP cement, concrete blend and brickies loam. I am looking for a builder to do some repair work on my house. The house is a replica Queenslander, on steel posts. Two of the jobs are large, and the third is small. This site requires a budget, and I guessed at a figure, but I don't have much idea. The work is: 1) Fix or replace the front stairs. The left-hand handrail has a join that is coming apart, so the whole handrail is very loose. And some of the balusters may be coming loose. So I’m interested in either repair or replacement. 2) Repair or replace one of the steel posts supporting the house. It has rust at its base, and this has gone right through in part of the post. 3) Repair a newel post on the back deck – the one near the top of the stairs. It is rotting from the top. We have a section of colour bond fence that has gaps under it where my dog gets out. There’s a garden along side it it and he can dig or go out via gaps. There’s some ply boards there that are just placed there and some rocks as well that can be more securely put in place and i also have more you can use. Unsure of likely cost. Please provide quotes. Does not have to be done on 31 March. The task is to repaint a timber picket fence (both sides) and timber and metal poles in their existing colours. Parts of the fence have already been repainted (poorly) but will still need going over. A section behind a hedge (one side) could be excluded if too difficult. Sections are approximately 20 m and 12.5 m. The fence is approximately 1.2 m high. Happy for it to be sprayed if possible, however their are some plants near the fence which will need to be avoided.
