I have been told in the past that its possible to have a lead plugged in directly from a petrol generator that then supplies the house direct, rather than having to run extension leads from it. 1. Install light in passage to light passage and hall cupboard. The hall adjoins a guest toilet and laundry. 2. Install light in pantry. There is power next to the pantry. 3. Install timer in extractor fan switch and isolate redundant wires behind the switch. 4. Wire in supplied doorbell. 5. Remove three smoke alarm plates which are wired to house alarm. We have removed the devices, but didn't want to touch the wiring behind.
