Hi, I'm looking for someone to install a ceiling fan (replacement for existing faulty one). I already have the new ceiling fan, so its install only. Location is Mascot 2020. The job must be started at 11am, and finished before 2pm on Saturday 31st October 2026 (as I have guests arriving at 2pm and I need it to be fully functional before that time). Part 1: Install my Avoca DC 1320 ceiling fan. Requires wall switch to be supplied & probably new hole to be drilled as the spot lights are around the edge of the room. When using the remote to turn on our Arlec ceiling fan, the fan doesn’t start and beeps twice. At first when the issue started occurring, it would start and then stop again repeatedly but now it won’t start at all. When turning on the light it switches on completely fine, it’s just the fan that won’t turn on. I’ve done some investigating on google for answers and the most likely explanation that came up was this: “With Arlec ceiling fans, this combination of symptoms—where the unit beeps responsively to commands but the fan itself remains dead—is a classic, known behavior pointing to a faulty internal remote receiver module (specifically the controller unit tucked inside the top canopy) or a dead starting capacitor. The electronics are registering your command (the beep), but the switching circuit inside the receiver is broken and failing to pass that physical electric current down into the motor windings.” This is a possible fix google said: “Replace the Internal Remote Kit: An electrician can drop the top canopy and swap out the broken receiver block. Arlec sells replacement modules such as the Arlec Remote Control Ceiling Fan Kit or the Arlec Grid Connect Smart Kit at retailers like Bunnings Warehouse.” If this is the problem, I can buy the kit at Bunnings and we would just need it installed on the fan. Looking for an electrician to install a brand-new Arlec ceiling fan in a room. I have already purchased the fan. It is an apartment. Top floor. Roof access can be with our building manager. This is a fresh installation where no fan has been before. However, there are two existing lights situated on either side of where the fan will go. New ceiling fan - has been mounted already. Just needs to be connected to the power supply. Hardwired smoke alarm close by will provide connection point.

Lights under the ceiling fan controled by remote control and switches on the wall do not turn on by remote control or switches. Does not seem to be a very complicated electrical issue. Need someone to have a look and to fix this minor issue. Thank you.

Looking for an experienced plasterer/gyprocker to complete a small repair in the ceiling around a recently installed ceiling fan in our master bedroom. As shown in the photo, there is a rectangular section of plasterboard around the ceiling fan which was cut to install a support beam for the fan. The job is to: * Patch/reinstate the plasterboard around the ceiling fan * Tape/set/plaster as required * Sand smooth and flush with the existing ceiling * Leave the repaired area ready for us to prime and paint ourselves * Protect the bedroom/flooring from dust and clean up afterwards Ceiling height is approximately 3.9 metres, so you’ll need to provide your own suitable high ladder/platform/access equipment. I would like 2 x AC ceiling fans replaced in the bedrooms. I can order 2 x DC ceiling fans. I would like the existing wall switch to remain. I don’t want a remote. Let me also know if this DC fan is not compatible with the existing wall switch.

Need a licensed electrician in Sydney to adjust wiring for ceiling fan/light switches. Currently there are two switches: 1. Low light 2. Main light + ceiling fan together I’d like it changed so that the fan is linked to the low light instead. Main light still needs to work properly. Please quote including callout/labour.

My bathroom ceiling fan just stopped working randomly yesterday. I removed the cover and it looks like something is blocking it, maybe dust. I need someone who can assess the problem, carefully remove the blocker and put it back up the way it was.
