Over 9 years of study, I have created many workbooks, each with lots of pages. All workbooks contain innumerable hyperlinks - links between workbooks, to the internet, and to files on different hard drives in my PC. But almost all OneNote links are not working since the last software update to version 16. When I use 'file > settings > properties' for each notebook I see that the location shows the same address that was used was when everything was working well. But if I re-establish that same location via 'file > settings > properties > change location' I get the message that OneNote cannot move the notebook to that specific location. my OS is Windows 10 and my original workbook format is 2010-2016 notebook 64-bit. I have always stored my notebooks locally on a PC hard drive. Never in the cloud. I am happy if a technician starts troubleshooting via remote control. But I am also OK if a technician visits my home in Macleod 3085. (1) If the solution can be easily unfolded, then I'd be glad if the technician can solve the problem for me. But if the solution is laborious (e.g. page by page) then I need the technician to give me the method so that I can perform the time-consuming labour myself. (2) I need advice on how to avoid this issue when the next software update occurs (3) I need advice on migrating my workbooks to another program when OneNote support ends in 2025.
