We’re looking for an experienced floor sanding professional to sand and refinish approximately 10m² of existing timber flooring in our kitchen (the kitchen cabinets shown in the photos will be removed prior). We’re installing new kitchen cabinetry, so need to have the kitchen flooring completed first. We plan to have the remaining timber floors throughout the house sanded and refinished over the coming months. Scope of work: * Sand back the existing timber flooring in the kitchen. * Carry out minor repairs if required. * Fill nail holes and other small holes with suitable putty or wood filler. * Apply black gap filler to the gaps between the floorboards. * Apply a clear protective finish to the sanded timber. * Leave the floor smooth, clean and ready for the new kitchen cabinetry. Important considerations: We understand that the newly refinished kitchen floor will look different in colour to the existing floors throughout the rest of the house until we have the remaining areas completed. We’re happy with this and do not want the new flooring to match the existing, unfinished floors at this stage. We’re looking for someone experienced with older timber floorboards who can recommend a suitable clear finish and achieve a good-quality result. Looking for an experienced deck restoration professional to help us finish restoring our large outdoor timber deck. We have already spent considerable time preparing and sanding the deck using a drum floor sander and handheld belt sander. Unfortunately, the old reddish-brown paint is proving difficult to remove and has left the deck looking very patchy. What we need: * Assess the current condition of the deck and remaining paint. * Remove the stubborn old paint/coating using the appropriate method. * Complete sanding and preparation to achieve a consistent finish. * Restore the built-in timber bench seating, including backs and fronts. * Prepare and apply a suitable exterior timber oil or finish. * Clean up and remove all paint debris and waste. Our desired finish: A lighter, natural timber look with a slight sheen rather than the existing dark reddish colour. We are not looking to replace the deck, just have the existing timber professionally restored. I am looking for an experienced timber restoration/finishing specialist to restore my timber front entrance. The job consists of: - One timber front door – both interior and exterior sides - One adjoining timber sidelight/side panel – both sides - Timber door frame and surrounding trim Both the door and sidelight contain decorative leadlight glass, so care must be taken when sanding and refinishing around the glass. The exterior timber has become weathered and the existing finish has deteriorated. I would like the entire entrance professionally restored so that the timber looks refreshed and well finished while retaining its natural timber appearance. Work required includes proper cleaning and preparation, sanding back the existing deteriorated finish as necessary, careful hand sanding around mouldings and leadlight glass, addressing minor marks/discolouration where possible, and applying a high-quality exterior-grade UV and weather-resistant clear timber finish. I have an internal painted door that previously had a hole in it. The hole was repaired using wood filler/wood dust, but the repair was not finished properly and the patched area is still visible. I’m looking for an experienced handyman/painter to professionally redo/finish the repair so that the surface is smooth, level and blends with the rest of the door as closely as possible, with no obvious patch marks. The existing repair may need to be sanded back, levelled/re-filled as required, primed and painted. I’m happy for the whole face of the door to be repainted if that will give a cleaner and more consistent finish, rather than just touching up the repaired area. I’m looking for someone experienced in repairing and finishing concrete ceilings to make good an exposed area in my toilet ceiling, approximately 550 mm × 270 mm. Please see photos. (The copper pipes were burst during an electrical installation, but are fully repaired now). The concrete slab has been exposed around two copper pipes and a round electrical fitting. I’d like the area repaired and finished flush with the surrounding ceiling, ready for painting. Please let me know whether your quote includes painting, materials and cleanup. Deck area to be completely sanded back and re- oiled.

Four years ago I got the bright idea to grind the interior floors of my apartment myself. The results were.. mixed The slab was ground down to expose the aggrigate and several coats of a clear self-levelling epoxy were applied. As you can see in the images, there are grinding marks in some places, with the kitchen where I first started, being the worst location. The floor is also uneven to a degree, the self levelling epoxy did not eliminate this and many of the edges of the rooms are slightly higher than the centre. How much of an issue this is, im not sure. I am looking for a professional who would be able to provide a solution, preferably several options to choose from, to improve the appearance of the floor. This would include quoting for an entire apartment refinish/refurbishment of floors to section based refinishing for the kitchen and/or hallway areas. I have included some images as well as the floor plan of the apartment with the flooring present in all rooms minus the bathroom and toilet. Existing white ceramic basin is in good condition but the glaze/enamel has worn through in the bowl. Looking for someone experienced with epoxy/tub-and-basin refinishing to prep, sand and apply a suitable 2-pack basin coating (e.g. White Knight Renew or similar). Not looking for full professional spray resurfacing or basin replacement. Can supply materials (or reimburse if you prefer to buy yourself). Please only respond if you've used this type of coating before. Bonus points if you can look at a noisy toilet that makes a pulsing noise on refill (possible inlet valve issue?) while you are here :)
