Hi, I’m looking for an experienced carpenter/deck builder to work with me to build a low timber deck over my alfresco concrete slab. • Size: approx. 14m² (4.9m x 3m) • Location: Taigum, Brisbane • Surface: new concrete slab I’m a keen DIYer but inexperienced, so I need someone to: • Check my plan and layout • Help with set-out and levelling of joists/framing • Advise on spans, fixings and layout • Help get the first decking boards right and clean up the finish • Make sure we don’t block drainage/weep holes/termite inspection zones I will supply: • All timber (treated pine + merbau) • Instant foundation system • Screws/fixings (700+ screws) • Basic tools (drill, impact driver, hammer drill, etc.) • Labour for drilling, moving materials and screwing off boards You ideally bring: • Level or laser, and a mitre/drop saw • Any preferred decking tools Budget: $1,000 for up to 1.5 days (e.g. 1 full day + half day if needed). i want to rip out my exciting kitchen cabinets or at least replace the doors, I e always wanted rustic wooden doors. And I love when the top shelves have some stain glass window.

Problem with Door in old qld workers’ cottage from bedroom leading out to verandah. Has warped at the top and won’t open. Looks like a bit of wood was added to the top some time in the past and it has a small crack in it. Not sure if you can fix door or I need a new one so may need to adjust price.

I have 1 wall mounted METOD cabinet I need installing. I have assembled the carcass so it just needs hanging and the end panels installing

Cabinet needs to be cut a few inches from bottom & shelf moved up to accommodate new fridge. Cabinet already removed.

I had new carpets put in. 3 interior doors had to be taken down because the new carpet is higher than the old carpet and there is not enough space under the doors. I need a chippy or handyman to take a little bit off the bottom of the doors to make them the right length, and put them back on the doorframe.

Hi there, I’m looking for an experienced handyman or cabinetmaker to remove a single kitchen cabinet carcass so I can install a dishwasher. The doors and shelves are already removed. I just need the carcass taken out cleanly, including detaching it from the benchtop, adjacent cabinets and neatly cutting the kickboard. Installation of the dishwasher is not required. Prefer someone who has done this before and can ensure the surrounding cabinetry and benchtop aren’t damaged. Located in Mitchelton.

Looking for a good tradesman who can think for himself to sort this situation. We need to install 2 x 450mm Euro Cargo bins in the cabinets shown below. But the cabinets are not deep enough for them. The idea is to cut through the back of the cabinet and into the other cabinet behind it. Then install the bins and install a false back on the 2 door cabinet behind. The works have to be done with the cabinets in position. Cannot be removed. I'm providing the bins, but you'll need to provide the white melamine for the false back (Bunnings melamine is fine) and all the screws / consumables.

Put together an Ikea kitchenette, it's a very basic Knoxhult base (180cm wide) with 2 overhead cabinets. Attach overhead cabinets to the wall as well. No plumbing or electrical works required.

Carpenter to glue / fix vinyl floor boards - they have too much movement, big gaps between. Another job is to fix or replace vinyl floor edge angle boards as per photo. Sharp metal edges on the corner were sticking up. I have bolted it down as a temp fix - needs a proper solution. And one more job will be to replace 7x hardwood boards in the outside stairs - cut them to shape as in photo to fit around the posts. Price includes all consumables as in hardwood and bolts etc.
