I’m looking for a local cabinet maker, carpenter or experienced woodworker to make a custom foldable arch backdrop for my event styling business. I have attached a reference image showing exactly what I’m after. Approximate requirements: * Around 2m high x 1–1.2m wide * Solid arch shape with a smooth front * Splits/folds in half horizontally for easy transport * Strong joining/hinge system at the back * Fold-out support legs at the rear so it stands securely * As thin and lightweight as possible, while still being sturdy * Smooth surface suitable for painting and repainting for different events * MDF, plywood or another lightweight material you recommend The most important part is that I can easily transport, set up and pack down the backdrop myself, as it will be used regularly for balloon and event installations. I’m located in Glass House Mountains and would ideally love to find someone around the Sunshine Coast / Moreton Bay / North Brisbane area. Happy to discuss materials and exact construction with someone who has experience and may have a better suggestion for the folding/joining mechanism. Cabinet maker kitchen area

Hi, we’ve recently purchased a new property and are looking to have some additional storage built. One of the bedrooms doesn’t currently have a closet, so we’d like to have a built-in wardrobe installed there. We also have a spare room where we’d like to build a cabinet for storing extra household items.

We have recently had a new oven installed to replace a much older model. As the new oven is slightly smaller than the previous one, the installation has left visible gaps around the oven within the existing cabinetry. I’m looking for someone to supply and install suitable finishing pieces to cover the gaps on both sides and across the top of the oven, so that the new oven looks properly fitted and seamlessly integrated into the cabinetry. I’m open to the finishing being done in stainless steel or matching cabinetry/timber, similar to what is depicted in the attached photo. The job would need to include supply of the required materials, cutting/fitting to size, and installation for a neat, professional finish.

We are finishing installing our ikea kitchen cabinets, we are looking for a cabinet maker to help plane the cover panel pieces and to assist with planeing kickboards. We have 2 x internal pieces and 2 end pieces and a backing for the island along with kickboard. Ideally either Friday 7th or Saturday 8th.

I need an experienced handyman or cabinet maker to pack out either side of this cabinet & install the runners so the drawer can be used in this cabinet opening. The drawer & fascia fit the opening perfectly & it's just setting the runners up at the correct width & height is the challenge. The job is Jan Juc.

Hello, I'm looking for someone with experience in cabinetry, built-in wardrobes or joinery to finish an IKEA PAX wardrobe install to make it appear built in and a tidy finish. Scope of works 1. Install infill/filler panels • Fill the gaps between the wardrobe and the side walls with 16mm MR MDF. • Scribe the panels to the walls where required so everything sits flush. • Ideally use moisture-resistant MDF or similar ready for painting. 2. Install a kicker/plinth board • Cover the existing timber base with a neat kicker/plinth with either 16 or 18mm with 16mm MR MDF. • Continue the plinth across the full width so it appears built in. • Minimise visible joins. 3. Finishing • Light sand and prime final cut and fitted pieces • Colour match GRIMO door at Dulux trade centre • Ideally, paint with low sheen Dulux Aquanamel and using high-density foam roller to achieve sprayed-looking texture • Finish neatly against the existing skirting boards and also IKEA base (may require some filling of gaps above plinth / kicker) • Caulk as required. Cabinet Maker Needed to Adjust Kitchen Cabinetry for Stone Benchtop Realignment Looking for an experienced cabinet maker to inspect and adjust existing kitchen cabinetry to allow a stone benchtop to be moved back into its correct position. A stone mason has advised that the cabinetry underneath requires adjustment before the stone can be repositioned. There is currently movement/misalignment in the cabinetry which appears to have contributed to the benchtop shifting and cracking at a join. Scope of Works: Inspect existing kitchen cabinetry and supports. Move and re-level cabinetry as required. Reinforce or adjust cabinet structure to support the stone correctly. Ensure cabinets are level and suitable for the stone mason to reinstall/reposition the benchtop. Advise if any additional cabinet repairs are required.
