Looking for someone who can do wood working. I have always had an aquarium but living in an apartment has always been restricting in space. I would like get some ideas and quotes from a local Brisbane person who is good at making cabinets. I have a buffet filled with dining ware and an aquarium, but never had the space for both. I would like to combine the 2 into one. I would like 3 pieces that sit together. The main central piece would need to be able to support a 5ft fish tank and side cabinets to store dining ware. The cupboard space underneath the tank would be required for tank equipment. The 2 additional cupboard would need to sit on the sides of the centre cabinet. The side cabinets would be narrow and taller then the central piece, would need to be either detachable or self standing to allow easy access to the tank when required with 1-2cm of clearance on either side of glass. As the current tank is approx 13 years old a new tank will be made to the same size as the current tank. Dimensions are (L)153cm x (W)38cm x (H)51cm, total water volume is 297L and the tank would generally contain at least 25kg of sand, So the centre cabinet would need to be able to support this weight. On top of this project, I would also be looking at additional items (furniture) to be made, dining table, coffee table and entertainment unit in the same style and material, pending the outcome of the first project and the quality of the workmanship provided. For other items I know what I am wanting but unable to find it all in the styles I am wanting. Happy to discuss anything further and provide more details as well as discuss more on pricing.
