Find experienced local carpenters in New Farm

I’m looking for an experienced, careful tradesperson to install 3 wooden floating shelves. This job needs someone who can do a neat, accurate job, as the shelves will be installed on an old masonry wall made from hollow concrete bricks. The bricks are not solid all the way through — they have walls about 25mm / 1 inch thick around a hollow centre. The shelves will be cut from a leftover wooden benchtop measuring approximately 3600mm x 250mm x 30mm. The finished shelves need to be: * 2 shelves: 1000mm x 150mm x 30mm * 1 shelf: 800mm x 150mm x 30mm I will supply the Strongfix 90979ZP floating shelf brackets recommended by the Shelving Shop. I want 4 brackets per shelf for maximum strength. You will need to: * have a 12mm masonry drill bit * cut the shelves cleanly and accurately from the benchtop * measure and mark everything carefully * drill straight, accurate holes into the masonry wall * drill straight, accurate holes into the back of each shelf to fit the bracket rods * install the shelves level, secure and neatly finished. The Shelving Shop advised that the wall plugs need to be a nice tight fit into the 25mm wall thickness and that the holes must be drilled dead straight. I’m especially interested in someone with experience installing floating shelves, doing precise finish carpentry or similar work. Please only respond if you can achieve a clean, level, professional result. Examples of similar floating shelf or masonry installation work would be appreciated.

I am opening a bookstore and have 12 billy bookshelves already built. I want them to look like built in and be cohesive like In the photos below. price is negotiable. need it done before the first week of July. the white bookshelves are what I currently have and I want them to have the built in look of the pink ones. there are two walls one has three the other has 9. will need you to get all materials for the job.

4 kitchen cabinet doors needing replacement due to damage. Would like measurement and provision of doors that I can paint and install.

I need a couple of smaller jobs done to fix up spots in our kitchen: 2) remove wall trim and extend kitchen exhaust cover up. The black cover extends upwards. Set exhaust cover in place. 3) Cover gaps on the underside on the top kitchen cupboards. One of either side of the row of top cupboards. 4) install a cover panel on the underside of the fridge cupboards to hide the ugly holes and cover the gap to the wall at the same time (I attached a current photo and one where the cover is drawn in in black to give an idea. 5) install 3 short pieces of floor trim. Airtasker to provide all tools required to do the job and cut panels to size. I will order and provide the panels. Please include any caulking required to finish the job up nicely as well.

I’m trying to take down a kitchen shelf and fridge cabinet, but the screws/bolts are too difficult for me. Some might need drilling out.

We have a bathroom vanity at our new home that we are wanting to be replaced with a different one. We are wanting someone to come in who is able to remove the existing vanity, make the new vanity to fit the space and install it. We have spoken to a draftsman who has drawn us up what we are wanting with measurements.

Two jobs: 1. Replace sun damaged kitchen cabinet polimer/plastic trim. The strips are about 15mm wide, on edge of cabinets. See pix 2, install ceiling bulkheads to cover tops of blinds and curtains in unit living area. The bulkheads would be about 50mm in depth, suspended from/adhering to plasterboard ceiling, in L-shape. Looking for a 3rd,4th year Carpenter to assist with cladding on my renovation $60/hour

Hi, I’m looking for a handyman to patch up 4 stairs on my staircase and around 5 small sections on the floor where the old balustrade was removed. I recently had a new balustrade installed and attempted to patch and paint the area myself—but as you’ll see in the photos, I didn’t quite nail it. I’m after someone with experience in matching stain colours and doing a neat, professional finish to help blend the patched areas back in with the original stair stain.
