What’s Included in Verandah Installation Services
Verandah installation services encompass a wide range of tasks designed to create an inviting and functional outdoor area. Here’s what you can typically expect when hiring a professional for verandah installation:
Initial Consultation
The process begins with an initial consultation where the installer discusses your vision and assesses your outdoor space. This step helps determine the best design and materials for your verandah, ensuring it complements your home and meets your needs.
Design and Planning
After the consultation, the professional will create a design plan tailored to your specifications. This may include considerations for size, shape, materials, and any additional features such as lighting or railings.
Material Selection
Skilled installers will guide you through the selection of materials for your verandah. Options may include timber, aluminium, or composite materials, each offering unique benefits in terms of durability and aesthetics.
Site Preparation
Before installation begins, the site will be prepared by clearing any obstacles and ensuring the ground is level. This preparation is crucial for a stable and secure foundation for the verandah.
Construction and Assembly
The installation process involves constructing the verandah frame, attaching the roofing, and securing all components. Professionals ensure that every aspect is built to last, adhering to local building regulations and safety standards.
Finishing Touches
Once the main structure is complete, finishing touches such as painting, staining, or sealing may be applied to enhance the appearance and protect the materials from the elements. This step is essential for ensuring the longevity of your verandah.
Final Inspection
After installation, a final inspection is conducted to ensure everything is installed correctly and meets your expectations. This is the time to address any concerns or make minor adjustments.
Ongoing Maintenance Advice
Many professionals offer advice on how to maintain your new verandah, including cleaning tips and recommendations for seasonal care. This guidance helps ensure your outdoor space remains inviting and functional for years to come.
By hiring a professional through Airtasker, you gain access to a network of experts who can handle every aspect of your verandah installation. This ensures a seamless and satisfactory experience, allowing you to enjoy your new outdoor space without the hassle of DIY.

Tile and waterproof Verandah 24m2
$10
Glenhaven NSW 2156, Australia
17th Sep 2026
Re-tile an upstairs veranda at Glenhaven. The old tiles and mortar bed are already removed back to the concrete slab — it's ready for you to start. The veranda is fully under roof so it gets very little water, but it sits above a lined ceiling, so I want it membraned properly while the slab is open. Area: approx 23.6 m² — a main section 6.85 m × 3.0 m plus a return 3.76 m × 0.82 m. There is no floor waste; the deck falls off the open edge. Scope of work: Patch and repair spalled concrete around the slab edges, prepare and prime the substrate. Sand/cement screed to falls — minimum 1:100 to the open edge, no ponding. Keep total build-up to approx 20 to 40mm. Waterproof to AS 4654.2: bond breaker at all junctions, membrane over the full deck, upturns 100 mm above the finished tile level at all walls, membrane dressed into the 2 x door reveals, and a reinforced membrane collar and sealant fillet at each balustrade post — the posts are fixed through the slab. Clean down and take all rubbish away. I supply: tiles and grout. You supply and price: membrane system, primer, bond breaker, screed materials, adhesive, levelling clips, silicone. Please include in your offer: Your NSW Fair Trading licence number covering waterproofing and wall & floor tiling Current public liability insurance Photos of a previous balcony or deck you've waterproofed and tiled Your written warranty on the waterproofing Price broken into waterproofing / screed / tiling
