I will supply the paint but you need to provide the necessary painting equipment including drop sheets if required. The colour of the ceiling will be similar to the walls. I think the ceiling will require 2 coats of sealing paint and maybe a coat of finish. You will need to advise me. Apologies, photos not available as the new ceiling will. It be installed until Tuesday.

The issue: A section of plaster on the left side of the garage ceiling has come loose and is now sitting on top of the garage door wheel/track. It's pressing against the door mechanism, so I'd like it sorted before it causes damage or falls further. What I'd like done: Investigate the cause of the failure (loose fixings, water damage, batten issue, etc.) and let me know what you find. If the plaster sheet is still in good condition — push it back up into position and screw it securely to the battens/joists above. If it's too damaged to reuse — cut out the affected section, replace with new plasterboard, and patch/finish so it blends with the surrounding ceiling. Clean up any debris from the garage floor and door track afterwards. Note: If on inspection the job turns out to need more work than the above, I'm happy to discuss and agree on a revised quote before you proceed.

I’ve removed a built-in bookshelf from my living room, which has exposed internal framing strips and left some damaged plasterboard sections.
