My bedroom existing hybrid laminate flooring has numerous damaged floor boards that need replacing. The skirting boards on three walls can be taken off the wall to allow access to the boards. I want to swap out the damaged boards with the new boards. Some of the new laminate boards will require cutting with circular saw to ensure straight edges and neat finish. Preferably an installer with approved licence for carpenter or similar. Room size 5m x 6m. I will supply the new hybrid floor boards. Note: I’m still waiting for the boards to arrive from stockist.

I DIYed the top floor of our townhouse with laminate floorboards but have been putting off the stairs for several years now 🫣. The carpet has been removed. The nosing needs to be cut flush with the risers and new nosing cut and installed along with the treads. I cut a pre-painted white board from Bunnings which happens to be the perfect width and depth and used that as the new riser for the top step when completing the floor, but I am also open to other options regarding the method. There are 15 steps in total, with 3 turning steps at the top. The flooring is Preference 8mm Oakleaf Laminate - Bedrock, from DIY Floorboards. I do still need to order the nosing and possibly a few more floorboards, so the job would likely only be for 2+ weeks from now. Happy to negotiate on price for the right specialist.

We are looking for an experienced flooring installer/handyman to repair a section of laminate/timber-look flooring near an internal doorway. As shown in the attached photos, several floorboards have shifted and separated, leaving noticeable gaps between the boards, particularly around the doorway and transition strip. The task will involve: * Inspecting the affected flooring and identifying why the boards have moved/separated. * Carefully lifting and repositioning/re-laying the affected boards where possible. * Closing the visible gaps and ensuring the boards sit securely and evenly. * Cutting or adjusting boards around the door jamb if required. * Checking that an appropriate expansion gap has been allowed around the perimeter. * Reinstalling/securing the transition strip where necessary. * Advising us if any damaged boards need replacement rather than re-use. * Leaving the area neat and presentable once completed. * We don’t have spare flooring. Important: If possible, we would prefer the existing flooring to be retained and repaired where possible rather than replacing the entire floor. When offering please include your availability (date and time), quote for labour (and materials if you can supply suitable laminate). Narrow strip of old tiles on the floor where the cabinets used to be. The area needs to be installed with matching or similar laminate flooring so appliances can be installed on top of it.
