We’ve installed floorboards and with the floorboards raising the floor level the vertical blinds (2 M long) are only just dragging on the floor. This means they are not aligned with the sun light streaming in heating the house up unnecessarily. The blinds are held by two brackets - if a different L shaped bracket is installed raising the blinds by a couple of cms it would resolve the situation. Have you done anything like this before? Looking for a handyman to come and look at the roof space between the upstairs bathroom and downstairs kitchen, and check if there is an an active leak (we recently purchased and moved into this property). Some holes have been pre-drilled by an electrician. We also appear to have an issue with the downstairs toilet outlet, the water continues running once the cistern is full. The upstairs toilet also has a leak, which appears to be due to a crack in the collar and hopefully an easy fix. We then need someone (ideally the same person) to patch up the plasterboard where the electrician has been, in preparation for painting.
