Lock on post of gate is higher than snib on gate. Think gate has sunk a bit. I don’t have the tools currently to fix

The latch on my wooden gate at my dog grooming salon keeps coming loose. The gate is there to stop the dogs from getting into the main area. I’m hoping someone can either refit the existing latch or install a new one, ideally with a backing plate, so it doesn’t keep pulling out of the MDF.
