The Hisense freezer that we have been using for about 5 years isn’t making frost properly, it happens every now and then, as I could still hear the compressor working, but ice cream has been defrosted twice already. And it’s control panel isn’t working either, not sure if it can be repaired as well

What I would like the technician to assess 1. Condenser coil cleanliness and condenser fan operation. 2. Door seal integrity on both doors. 3. Refrigerant charge and any sign of leak. 4. Compressor performance and start relay. 5. Defrost cycle and thermostat / sensor calibration. I understand that the unit is approximately 10 to 12 years old. Please advise whether repair is economic or whether replacement is the better call given age and likely remaining service life.

The problem is with the freezer’s seal. We had multiple leaks occurring but the freezer was still working as the food was frozen when we checked and there’s still ice inside. We noticed the seal was old and not in good condition and replaced it with a new one. Unfortunately the seal still seem to not work properly, there’s not enough pressure when we close the door. The leaks now occur randomly, it was okay for a week and then it started again, probably because we didn’t put enough pressure when closing the freezer. But we feel like something is wrong and we hope you can help us figuring it out.

Hi, I'm looking for an Airtasker to help diagnose and fix an issue with our fridge/freezer. It is a Liebherr SICN 3056 (French door integrated fridge/freezer) The problem is that the freezer isn't cooling adequately. With the thermostat set to -24°C, I'm measuring roughly -1°C on the top shelf of both sides and around -6°C on the lower shelf. The fridge section appears to be working normally. The issue may have been caused (or at least made worse) by my attempt to defrost some ice build-up on the top shelf of the freezer using a hairdryer. I've since learned that's not the recommended approach, so it's possible something has been damaged in the process.
