It’s 8mm water resistant laminate (Tasmanian Oak) being installed as a floating floor over the existing timber floorboards. The remaining areas are the living/dining, kitchen and hallway. All the flooring material has already been purchased and is sitting in the middle of the unit, so there’s nothing to source, quote or pick up. All the doors have also already been trimmed down to accommodate the new floor height. There’s minimal furniture and anything in the way will be relocated before work starts. The rooms are simple and mostly rectangular. The only fiddly area in the whole job is one small linen press. Scotia and door thresholds to be fitted as part of the job, and I’d ask that offcuts and packaging are stacked in one spot for me to dispose of afterwards. We have had a flood and can’t at the moment relay the carpet in this room because we are renovating. But we have carpet just needs to be cut up and patched to the slate floors in case the flood happens again before we re arrange the structure and fix the issue.
