I’ve just had a new plasterboard suspended ceiling installed and it was installed over previous down lights. The down lights are now suspended between the true ceiling and the suspended ceiling. I need an electrician to access the lights and disconnect them/cut them off so that there aren’t active lights in an enclosed space in my ceiling. Feel free to ask any questions as this isn’t my area of expertise so this may not make sense! The down lights (4) are pictured previously on the timber planks. The timber planks have now been replaced with plasterboard.

I have a room that was an old cinema room - need an old sound system removed including all the old sockets in the wall, the wiring taken out, chat through where best to keep the wifi modem. Take old frame off a door space and make it a neat clear frame. Then also need some walls plastered, holes fixed including where the sockets will be removed. And if you know a carpenter… need some practical cupboard space installed under some stairs.

Landlord noticed that there are signs of fire damage on the rangehood and now they want an electrician to sign-off on it, to make sure it is safe. Landlord also requested a report outlining the causes of the damage and a repair quote. As far as we can tell, the only repair it needs is the change of the light cover that was melted. I'm happy to share photos and videos of the rangehood. As far as I can see, the damage is purely cosmetic.

Hi! I’m looking for a licensed electrician to replace 3 power points at my unit in Neutral Bay. Two of them are old single plug power points that should be replaced by doubles and one is a blank plate. I have already bought the power points.

1- electrical connections for the kitchen equipment (change 2 power plugs so I can conect the espresso machine and fridge) 2-shorten de cables for the light so they don't hang so far away from the ceiling

Install a new power point (GPO) inside my kitchen cabinet for a new electric oven (replacing a gas oven): -Run approximately 3 metres of cable from an existing 15A circuit, currently unused and previously dedicated to the common laundry -The circuit has active and neutral lines already available in my unit, accessible from a switch located above the kitchen countertop -Route the cable down into the cabinets, and then either through or under the cabinets to the oven location -Install a new GPO inside the cabinet at the end of the run -The main fuseboard and common laundry are on the ground floor, my unit is on level 3 -Must be familiar with strata requirements, including being licensed and preferably insured Thanks!
