Need help to remove old cooktop and install a new one

I’ve got a washing machine for an apartment I just moved into but I can’t seem to connect the hose to the water inlet laundry taps. It just spins. I believe the hose is a 20mm fixture and the wall tap seems ever so slightly smaller but I tried a 15mm adaptor and it was too small. I suspect an adaptor is required but as I don’t really know what I need I want someone to come have a look and fix it for me. I’ve attached an image of the outlet, the hose and the washing machine. Note: Parking available across the road from the job as there is no building visitor parking. Ideally looking to have it done Wednesday afternoon
