I need a licensed gas fitter to safely disconnect and remove an old Rinnai gas heater in my living room, as well as remove the stone/slate hearth on the floor. Heater type: Old Rinnai gas space heater inserted into a stone/brick fireplace. Hearth type: A small area of black slate tiles on the floor directly in front of the heater (raised slightly above the timber floor). Status: It hasn’t been used since we moved in. I am unsure if the gas line to the heater is still active or already capped elsewhere, but the live power cord for the fan is still attached. Work required: > 1. Safely disconnect the unit, cap the gas line properly to Australian standards, and remove the heater unit from the wall cavity. Chisel up and remove the slate hearth on the floor (please be careful with the surrounding timber flooring) Please provide your total fixed quote and let me know if you need any further photos of the unit or the outdoor gas meter.
