I have an old front loader Fisher and Paykel washing machine and when I press the button to start the cycle, instead of adding water, the light is just flashing (which I understand means it is on pause).

Fisher paykel smart machine (touch buttons) I have attached hoses for the first time, then turned on machine and pop! Some things popped out (see pics, 3 things popped out) and water ran under machine onto the floor. Immediately switched power off and turned hose taps off.

The tap under the laundry sink that attaches my washing machine is leaking large amounts of water when I do a load of washing. The attachment from the washing machine feels tight so I am assuming the problem is the tap.
