But the tear apart is the hard part and it’s already done. I am midway through a timing job on a 2006 Lincoln Navigator 4WD (5.4L 3V). All front covers are off and spark plugs are pulled. I have all OEM Ford Motorcraft parts, Fel-Pro gaskets, and Ford-specific timing lineup tools ready to go. Scope of Work: 1. Oil Pump: Loosen engine/transmission mounts and lift engine (cheat method) to drop pan, clean pickup screen, and install new oil pump. 2. Timing: Assist with phaser/chain installation and torque to spec (30 lb-ft + 90 degrees). 3. Reassembly: Reinstall timing cover, valve covers, and all front-end accessories. Requirements: * Must bring an engine hoist or support bar and a torque wrench. • Experience with Ford Triton 5.4L engines is a must.
