Repairing Light Scratches
Car scratch repair for light scratches can be quite simple and can be done in at most a couple of hours, depending on the severity of the scratch, and the time needed for the touch-up to dry. If the light scratch is small, using and applying a car scratch repair pen can be all that’s required to fix the problem. While that is an option, the usual manner by which Taskers could perform this service is by cleaning the problem spot, masking off unaffected areas close to the scratch, then applying a polishing compound with a microfiber cloth to polish off the scratch.
Repairing Deep Scratches
Deep scratches call for a more qualified service to fix. This type of scratch may have penetrated the base coat of your car’s paint job, or worse, reached and exposed the bare sheet metal of your car’s body. Don’t delay in having this kind of scratch repaired, as neglecting it can cause corrosion to set in and lead to larger, more expensive repairs to your car.
