Not a few Items, just ONE item. I will be showing up to help as well, with pro-grade cellophane wrap for the couch. Item: Article Sven, small model, 72" loveseat. Relatively lightweight. Removable legs and cushions. 93 lbs. I can also help carry the cushions, but cannot do heavy lifting bc of my back, so I need someone strong to help with the majority of getting it down the stairs. Task: 1. Show up. 2. Remove cushions and if possible, wrap couch IN apt before stairs...if not, wrap once out of building. Remove legs as well is that helps. 2.5 Either way, wrap couch together with me (if you have a spinning dolly this can help ease wrapping time - we put it upright on the dolly and spin it while applying the plastic wrap - if not, we apply wrap anyway). 3. Move couch down the stairs. This is the hardest part. 4. Put couch in van. 5. Drive to site in 10009 (near 1st Ave and East 20th st, in Manahattan). 6. Remove couch from van. 7. Bring couch inside from street to elevators (about 100 foot walk from street, into doors, into the building's elevators - will need a dolly of some kind for this. No stairs on the way in— if you have a dolly that would be great, if not, I can source one). 8. Take elevators to apt. 9. Bring couch from elevator into apt (20 ft walk) 10. Can leave at apartment door or help bring it inside and set down in living room. 11. Help lift other loveseat into an upright position. 12. If time allows, help take other loveseat out of apartment and put it on curb. If not, no worries, we can scratch the last two steps, I just need help getting the new couch inside my apartment or at least to the door. There is one other person who can help hold doors or watch a vehicle at pickup (seller's) site. Gated/secure community in Astoria (pickup). Need done tmrw-this weekend latest. On a major budget and will be comparison shopping hard on this. If I need to rent a van to cut costs I will do that but if you have a van at a decent rate we can do that too.
