What do staining services include?

Staining prep 

First, a clear work area is ideal when staining. Extra furniture, potted plants, and frames must be removed. Staining your property or furniture will usually include cleaning it first. A Tasker can only proceed once the surface is completely dry for large surfaces such as concrete floors, wooden fences, and brick walls that need to be washed. If staining will take place outdoors, it’s essential to check the weather conditions.

 

Wood Staining 

When we talk of wood staining, it usually refers to fences and wooden furniture. Staining a fence gives your wood that splash of colour and protection it needs. Furniture stain may be applied to wooden cabinets, chairs, tables, bookcases, bassinets, bed frames, and doors. The wood doesn’t have to be new because restaining furniture is also possible.

Brick Staining 

Whether it’s your walls, chimney, or fireplace, your home’s bricks need some care, too. The advantage of brick staining over brick painting is that stain accentuates the brick’s natural texture, and the finished product requires less maintenance. 

 

Before staining the whole surface, your hired expert may first test the swatch on a small patch of brick to ensure that they have achieved the desired colour. The colour can be lightened or darkened by adding water or pigment. 

 

Concrete Staining 

Staining can also be done on concrete floors and walls, and you can easily find concrete staining contractors near you on our platform. Much like brick staining, your hired specialist will first test the stain on a small part of concrete before applying it to the rest of the surface.
