We have two sections: Large kitchen island: approx. 206 × 90cm Main kitchen worktop: approx. 300 × 63cm, including the sink area The existing finish is very worn and the timber is absorbing water in places, particularly around the sink. There is uneven staining/discolouration, water marks and some burn/dark marks. We’d like both worktops properly sanded back to clean, even bare timber, with the staining and burn marks removed or reduced as much as reasonably possible without over-sanding. We’d then like them sealed with a durable, water-resistant matt finish suitable for kitchen worktops. We'd like to retain the natural oak colour and avoid a finish that makes the timber look overly yellow/orange or glossy. Hi, I’m looking for an experienced handyperson, decorator or carpenter to restore the timber threshold at my ground floor patio doors in Clapham. The exterior finish has worn away, with dark staining and surface wear along the outside edge. The timber feels very firm when pressed, but a little moss has started growing in a crack. I’d like someone to assess the timber, remove the moss, prepare and sand the surface, carry out any necessary local repairs, and apply a durable finish suitable for an exposed exterior threshold. I’m looking for an experienced floor sanding specialist to restore the timber floor in a small front room in my house in East London. The floor is engineered oak (I believe), and has surface scratches, scuff marks and some black marks from general wear. Before committing to the work, I’d like you to assess whether the floor has sufficient wear layer to be professionally sanded and refinished. Living room wooden floor originally varnished in mahogany varnish, but the varnish is chipping off. There are chairs six in this set and all could use some attention to finish and perhaps some buffer on the feet so that they don't damage wood floors as we will be moving soon, but the pictures are of the most in need: seat upholstery collapsing on one, caning on another, joints reinforced on one captain, and back repair on the other captain.
