Job Title: Appliance Repair Technician Needed – Repair Homestix 9000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner (FA Error) Job Description: I'm looking for an experienced appliance or HVAC repair technician to diagnose and repair a Homestix 9000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner. Fault: The unit powers on but immediately displays Error Code "FA". The fan motor does not start. The fan blades spin freely by hand, so there is no sign of a seized motor or mechanical blockage. Checks Already Completed: The internal wiring diagram has been reviewed. This model uses a single-use compressor run capacitor only. The fan motor connects directly to the electronic control board via a wiring harness and does not use a separate fan capacitor. Repair Required: Please bring a digital multimeter to test the control board fan output, wiring harness continuity, and the fan motor (including its internal thermal fuse if applicable). Once the faulty component has been identified, I would like the unit repaired if possible. If replacement parts are required, please advise on the parts needed and provide a quotation for completing the repair. Please contact me with your experience repairing portable air conditioners, your availability, and your charges.
