Hi, I am looking for someone who can build a bespoke single cot bed which converts between a standard single bed and a crib. I have a 9 year old son with special needs who requires a secure bed at night to prevent him falling out of bed / getting out of bed during the night. However, I am divorced so he only stays with me at weekends. Because I only have one spare room in my flat, I need a solution for him but also I would like to be able to accommodate friends and family in a standard single bed, when they are visiting. As such, I am hoping that it would be possible to build a bespoke solution. Many cots convert to a toddler bed and therefore I am hoping that the same design principles can be used on a slightly larger scale. An example design is the 3-in-1 convertible cot from Petite Amelie. Proposed Dimensions - Inner: L:190cm x W:90cm (Suitable for any standard 190 x 90cm mattress) - Exterior dimensions: L:195cm x W:95cm - Distance between the bars: 5.5cm - Diameter of the round bars: 16mm - Cot bed height: 150cm - Single bed height: 56 cm - Proposed Materials - Pinewood - HDF panels in head and foot end.
