We have a broken/loose floorboard and would like it to be fixed. It’s under the carpet so we have been able to provide a limited picture. I highly recommend Alin. He came right on time and did a fantastic job fixing my wooden decking. He worked quickly, efficiently and very hard, while still taking great care with the finish. Alin was also friendly, polite and professional throughout. He went above and beyond by doing some extra work that wasn’t originally expected, and he was more than happy to help without any fuss. I’m really pleased with the result!!!

Repair Sub Floor Boards

Brunswick Park, Greater London

9th Aug 2026

I’m looking for an experienced flooring/joinery professional to repair a section of subfloor in a bedroom. The floor was previously repaired, but the contractor used a large board/sheet rather than replacing the original floorboards/planks. The repair is now uneven and the board has started to lift, so the floor is not suitable for carpet to be fitted over it. Job required: * Remove the existing board and inspect the area underneath. * Replace it with suitable floorboards/planks, matching the existing floor where possible. * Ensure the boards are securely fixed and supported. * Make the repaired area completely level and stable. * Leave the floor ready for underlay and carpet installation. I’m looking for someone with experience in subfloor repairs and floorboards who can complete the job to a good professional standard. Please provide an approximate quote and availability. Photos of the area can be provided.

Engineered Wood Floor Repair & Finishing Needed

£200

West Ham, Greater London, E15

3rd Apr 2026

Looking for a flooring professional or carpenter to finish and repair my engineered wood floor. Several boards are loose and creak when walked on. They need re-fixing properly (nail gun or what’s appropriate). The transition/threshold area also needs completing and trimming so it’s neat and secure. Please only respond if you’ve done engineered floor repairs before.

Nice guy and work was quick, but we didn’t get to a solution (in fairness it was a hard starting point, but it would have been easier if he got there on the first visit). Thanks
