To be done by Saturday 2nd August 2025 1. ⁠Fire Alarm Reconnection (Kitchen) Reconnect existing fire alarm system. Ensure full functionality and test for proper operation. 2.⁠ ⁠Lounge – Socket Replacement Remove 2 existing single 13A sockets. Supply and install 2 no. new double 13A switched socket outlets in the same locations. 3.⁠ ⁠Extractor Fan Remove existing extractor fan unit. Install a new extractor fan in same position. (Connect to existing power supply). 4.⁠ ⁠Small Bedroom – Socket Upgrade Remove 1 no. existing single socket outlet. Supply and install 1 new double 13A switched socket outlet. 5.⁠ ⁠Bedroom (2) – Additional Sockets Supply and install 2 no. new double 13A switched socket outlets in Bedroom 2 - Sockets to be surface mounted

I had someone round to fix a broken socket box, but they were unable to finish the job due to some issues that arose when he took the box off. I'm pasting what he said about it below. Based on this, the electrician will then be able to test if the existing wire will need to be rewired. Both cables are also unearthed, which is dangerous and could cause multiple issues, such as insulation failure, potential shock, or worse."

Provide 2 costs to (a) rewire the complete flat with chasing walls new location of plug sockets, upgrade DB certify works as a new installation (b) I will carry out all the preparation, chasing walls install of new sockets and feed all cables back to the existing DB, This means on the 2nd cost for you to connect all cables to a new DB fitted by yourself and certify.To do this I will need a first visit to leave 1 feed only coming off a MCB to a plug socket so I can then rip out all other cables but still have one source of power to work with for lighting and power tools. The above are part of works based on a bad Tenant causing damage

Rewrite vintage Italian lamps - the fuze broke on one and the other never turned off. Bought at auction. If possible, I’d like to change to English wire, change the light bulb fixture (as currently takes R50 which doesn’t allow for warmer than 2700k) and add a dimmer onto the plug.
