The task is primarily clearing furniture but also moving a couple of items within Cambridge. It only requires a long wheelbase van, not a Luton, and a single man, as we can help with loading. This will likely take a little over an hour but certainly no more than two. To be clear you will be responsible for disposing or selling of furniture item, this is not a solely removal job. We also need one chair moving from the garage to the store. This is how this should go: We start by putting the following from the garage on your van: Shelves in photo 1 Small table in photo 2 Green chair in photo 3 Blue 2 piece wardrobe in photos 4 & 5 We drive around the corner to our house, unload the blue two piece wardrobe to our first floor, remove a smaller wardrobe (I ran out of photos to post) from our first floor to the van. Finally we drive to the store (10-15 mins depending on time of day) and unload the green chair to the store. You then dispose of or sell what’s left in the van (shelves, small table, blue wardrobe). This is all actually decent stuff but we need to clear the garage ASAP and do not have the time to deal with selling it. We are available to do this from lunchtime Friday September 14th but we need it doing ASAP hence the generous price.

I have a large, heavy floor-to-ceiling bookshelf/bookcase positioned against a wall, as shown in the photo. I am having soundproofing installed on the wall behind it and need the bookshelf carefully moved forward and away from the wall to provide sufficient working space for the soundproofing contractor. The bookshelf is large and may consist of several connected sections, so I would like someone experienced with moving heavy furniture to assess it and move it safely without damaging the bookshelf, wooden floor, walls or ceiling. The main requirement is to: move the bookshelf sufficiently forward to give the soundproofing contractor clear access to the wall behind; take appropriate care to protect the wooden flooring; disconnect or partially dismantle sections if necessary for safe movement. The books and other items can be removed beforehand to make the unit lighter.
