Task Description: Looking for an experienced carpet fitter for a first-floor flat in SW London, total area about 41 sqm. Includes two bedrooms, one living room, and two short hallways (one hallway with 5 steps). Work includes fitting carpet and underlay. Condition: -Old carpet has been removed -Subfloor has been levelled -Skirting boards are already installed with unfortunately no clearance at the bottom (flush with the floor). Please ensure the skirting boards remain neat and visually intact after carpet installation, by whichever method you see fit. Materials I will provide: -Carpet rolls (with 17–40 cm edge allowance) -3 rolls of 9mm underlay (47.1 sqm total) -50m joining tape -240ft gripper rods -Several door strips If these materials are not sufficient, please let me know in advance. Other small fitting consumables (e.g. adhesive, seaming tape if needed) can either be provided by me or supplied by you, but please specify the exact product and quantity required. I need a carpet fitter who would be able to fit an awkward shape using some off cuts. The space is an L shape in the corner of a room. One length is around 2.7mx0.6m, the other is around 1.9mx0.6m. I can submit photos if anybody is interested in completing the work. The area is under a bed, so will require me to move bits around to get a photo.
