I am looking for an experienced carpenter/builder to carry out several fire safety works following a fire risk assessment. The work required includes: • Install a 30-minute fire-rated (FD30) fire door to the kitchen. • Plasterboard the soffit, spandrel and understairs cabinet door using 30-minute fire-resistant plasterboard. • Provide ventilation to the gas meter cupboard at the base of the door in accordance with the recommendations: Create ventilation by undercutting the cupboard door along the full width at floor level to achieve an opening not exceeding 150 square millimetres (6 square inches). • Make good and finish all affected areas.
