Thermostat does not communicate with heat link or phones

The shower is a concealed Pura thermostatic shower (photos attached). The main issue is faulty temperature control: the water only gets hot when turned fully to maximum, a very small adjustment makes it go from very hot to cold, and it takes a long time for hot water to come through. The rest of the temperature range does very little. Based on research, this appears most likely to be a failed or scaled thermostatic cartridge, or a temperature stop/calibration issue. The shower otherwise works and there are no leaks. If, once inspected, the cartridge is not the cause, I’m happy for you to advise on the next appropriate step without replacing the full concealed valve or removing tiles unless absolutely necessary.

To install Hive Thermostat and hub for my viesmann Vitoden 100 boiler

Nest Heat Llink is now constantly on, even though the thermostat is off. I can switch heat link off, but still need hot water and heating. Have restarted both heat link, thermostat and WiFi router, but issue not fixed. Have turned down temp of boiler so that even though heating is constantly on, it’s set to a Lower temp.

There is an issue with the heating in the main bedroom suspect that it’s to do with the thermostat but not sure. See attached image.

This is an old thermostat that isn't in use on a wall. Would like it removing if can be done in such a way that there isn't then a hole in the wall (if there would be behind?) - if so if it could be filled in some way or something to look like the rest of the wall? Or if there wouldn't be, just paint touched up to look neat
