Hi, I am looking for a qualified electrician (NICEIC/NAPIT registered) for a rewire of a 1960 three bedroom semi-detached house in Slough (consumer box, meter etc. under the stairs, concrete ground floor, wiring below carpeted wooden floor 1 plus in the easy access loft and easy parking) and would be grateful if you can provide an estimate (labour plus materials) for a standard installation, and if possible provide a rough plan to show what you are pricing for and where you recommend the sockets and switches etc. Wires to be concealed in the walls and not surface mounted and please provide a standard installation (sockets, switches, lighting points, etc.) and then the costs of any recommended options. If based some distance away, there are nearby budget hotels (Travelodge etc.), and possibility of free accommodation with a neighbour, as I am retired and on a limited budget. Price is the priority, however the work carried out properly and safely without cutting corners and with everything fully compliant with BS 7671 18th Edition and Part P, and the EIC and Building Regulations paperwork provided after installation, as whilst on a very tight budget, we are not looking to compromise on safety or quality. The electrical work is the first of a multitude of jobs for us, and we are flexible on timing (can start whenever is convenient for you, if your price is right).
