I am looking for a experienced carpenter/builder to fix a damaged area on one side of a timber balcony. There is cracking near the balcony edge and balustrade area. From underneath, it appears to be around one of the supporting timbers/joists. We several dark water stains on our timber floorboards which need to be repaired as part of an end of lease clean. The stains were caused by water collecting below pot plants and a long mirror. In the first instance, we are hopeful, some stains can be repaired without requiring sanding and refinishing. Looking for a professional floor expert to help us with this job.

I have the flooring panels onsite. The floor that is concrete in photos needs to be levelled with the tiled areas. I have some 9mm boards made from MDF to cater for this. I’m converting a small storage room into a study nook and need floorboards installed to cover an exposed concrete subfloor where built-in cabinets were recently removed. The job involves three tasks: 1. Lay Floorboards ∙ Install supplied (matching) floating floorboards to match the existing light timber flooring in the adjoining area ∙ Boards need to butt up neatly to the existing flooring at the threshold ∙ The subfloor is bare concrete with some old adhesive residue from removed cabinetry – light prep/levelling will be needed before laying ∙ Please bring underlay – I don’t have any on hand 2. Install Skirting Boards ∙ Install supplied skirting boards around the perimeter of the are as shown in the photos to finish the floor edges clean 3. Patch Holes in the Wall ∙ There are a few holes and damage spots in the walls left over from the cabinet removal ∙ Please patch and prep the walls ready for painting – I will do the painting myself, so just needs to be sanded smooth and ready to go. I will supply the filler for the wall patching. This is a relatively small task for someone that knows what they are doing.
