We’re looking for an experienced exterior timber/decking specialist to clean, prepare and re-stain/oil the timber decking around our home in Bilgola Plateau. Areas include: * Small balcony/deck off the master bedroom * Main deck off the upstairs living area * Smaller downstairs deck * Decking around/near the fire-pit area * Timber boardwalk/walking deck through the garden The home is surrounded by established gardens/rainforest, so some areas are exposed to moisture, leaf litter and organic growth. Scope: * Inspect the existing timber and coating before starting * Thoroughly clean the decking and remove dirt, organic growth, mildew/algae and weathering as appropriate * Use timber-safe cleaning methods and products — we do not want the timber aggressively pressure washed or damaged * Prepare the surface appropriately for refinishing, including light sanding where required * Re-stain/oil the decking to restore and protect the timber * Protect surrounding stone, painted surfaces, plants and landscaping * Leave all areas clean on completion We would like the finished timber to look natural, matte and understated rather than glossy, orange or heavily stained. The scratches were accidentally caused by a vacuum cleaner. I only need a localised/spot repair to the affected areas — not sanding or refinishing the entire room. Hi. I've got an old deck around the pool that needs replacing. I'm hoping the timber underneath is largely ok but I haven't opened up to look. There's about 250 lineal metres of I think 140mm. Can you let me have an idea of cost and time to undertake the work....and let me know your thoughts on what timber. NB The timber will need to be carried from the road, down to the deck area - and at a guess that's around 50-60m. Thank you! Peter

Description I’m looking for an experienced timber flooring repair / floor sanding and polishing specialist to repair a localised damaged area on my timber floor. The area was exposed to water a few months ago and has developed white/cloudy discolouration in the finish, as shown in the attached photos. The timber still appears flat and solid, with no obvious swelling. I’m looking for someone who can: Assess whether the damage is mainly to the coating/finish or the timber itself Remove the white/cloudy marks and other staining where possible Lightly sand/treat the affected boards if required Colour and finish match the existing floor as closely as possible Recoat/seal the repaired area Ideally perform a localised repair rather than sanding/refinishing the entire room Please only offer if you have experience repairing and matching existing timber floors. The job: * Sand the entire deck thoroughly and evenly * Remove the existing coating/weathered surface * Prepare and clean the deck ready for coating * Apply the lacquer/sealer supplied by me * Apply 2 coats as required by the product * Clean up all sanding dust and rubbish afterwards There are no loose nails or screws requiring repair. I will supply the lacquer/materials. You will need to bring your own sanding equipment and tools.
