I’d like to use Knauf FloorShield glasswool underfloor batts (or equivalent product) — ideally with a wind-wash barrier and suited for underfloor applications. Materials can be supplied or included in your quote — please specify which. Site Details: • Easy access under the house • The underfloor area is on a gentle slope that becomes tighter toward one end • The clearance ranges from around 1.2m at the lowest point to full standing height at the other end • The area is well-ventilated and I will clean before you coming on site. I would like to hire someone to go into my roof cavity and fix insulation (e.g. foilboard) to the underside of the exposed metal roof sheeting, between each timber rafter. The intent is to prevent radiate heat transfer from the roof into the ceiling cavity, and house. My house is a typical timber Queensland cottage with a pitched roof and 'attic' space (ceiliing/roof cavity). You will likely have to remove a section of the external roof sheeting in order to gain appropriate access into the ceiling cavity from above, because the internal man hole access is quite small. need help to cut plywood and insulation to size, will need to connect exhaust vent on outside of plywood, and glue, tape, screw parts into place. i have drill, jigsaw, insulation tape, exhaust vent plus fittings, plus plywood and insulation.
