The metal awing cover has corroded and the two pieces that joint to make up the right hand corner have come apart. The end pieces of this cover hold the awning in place so it can roll up and down. The two pieces need to be (cleaned up and) spot welded back together or a bracket placed (or rivetted) so the two metal pieces stay together and are able to hold the awning in place once more. The attached photos will hopefully help give you a visual on what is required. It should be simple for people with the right equipment or have done this before.
