Refrigerant removal and disposal

With the fridge removal done, your broken unit will now be brought to an old fridge disposal area. While it may be tempting to stow away the refrigerator at a dump, these appliances can be a bit more tricky. After all, these contain chemicals that can be dangerous if not disposed of correctly. As such, it must be taken to a proper disposal facility not only to comply with local legislation but to help ease the impact on the environment as well.

Fridge freezer disposal and recycling

Lifting a new 500L fridge up a winding set of stairs, and take down a 530L fridge the same stairs. Can pay extra if you can take away the old Fridge. Stairs are 17 steps, see photos. The courier who delivered the fridge, said getting it up the stairs, and getting the old fridge down is probably a 2 strong persons or 3 person job. "we need to get a new fridge up the stairs, and old fridge down. They are a similar size, and we've done the calculation, so we think it should go up ok, even through the turn. However the stairs do turn somewhat awkwardly, so it has to be lifted as its turned which will be a bit tricky."
