The Issue: A section of the black vinyl skirting board at the base of our pre-test room wall has completely detached from the wall. It is bowing outwards into the walkway, creating a distinct trip hazard for our staff and patients. The Job: The task is to re-secure the skirting board flat against the wall. The scope of work will involve: 1. Preparing the area by cleaning off old, failed adhesive from the back of the skirting trim and the plasterboard wall. 2. Supplying and applying a heavy-duty, commercial-grade contact adhesive or high-tack construction adhesive. 3. Pressing and securing the skirting board firmly back into place so it sits flat and flush, especially around the corner near the door frame. 4. Cleaning off any excess adhesive for a neat, professional finish. Requirements: - Proven experience with flooring, carpentry, or general shopfitting repairs. - You must supply all your own tools and a suitable heavy-duty adhesive. - Ability to work cleanly and professionally within a live retail environment. - Public liability insurance is required. I want to polish and varnish my current stair treads. Want them to look brighter, similar to oak color. I've taken all out, twelve in total, dimensions of each are: 900 x 235 x 45 There are some nails and staples due to the carpet I removed. Two of the stairs are partly broken, I attach some pictures so you can see. I have the existing parts and the balustrade if needed. I can bring all the stairs to your place. Thanks
He did a good job, though the project took significantly longer than expected—moving from an initial two-week estimate to eleven. I understand there were setbacks, and I’ve stepped in to finish the filler and varnishing myself to keep the project moving.
