I have one very small burn mark (approximately 10–15 mm) on a timber-look floorboard. Looking for someone experienced in cosmetic timber/laminate/hybrid floor repairs to remove/fill the damaged area, professionally colour-match the existing flooring and recreate the grain/finish so the repair is as unnoticeable as possible. Spot repair preferred — I do not want the entire floor sanded or a board replaced unless absolutely necessary. I have burn marks on my timber flooring.There are about 4-5 spots, the largest around 2cm across, located near my dining table. Looking for someone experienced in timber floor repair to assess the damage and advise on the best fix ,whether that's sanding and spot-refinishing, using a filler/burn-in repair kit, or replacing the affected board(s). We currently have timber flooring. We would be grateful for a quote on repairing them (sanding, filling in gaps, etc). Alternatively, we are also considering replacing the floorboards. The kitchen is approximately 2.7x3m. As seen in the attached photo, the kitchen floor is currently lighter than the living room - we would like the kitchen floorboards to be the same colour as the living room floorboards.

There are 16 timber stairs in total. I will provide photos showing the current condition and marks/scratching on the individual treads. I am looking for your independent professional opinion on what work you would recommend if you were engaged to repair the staircase in its current condition. We have a deck in our backyard where the timber subframe underneath is deteriorating. We’d like to get it fixed. The deck is approximately 5 x 2.8m. The existing composite decking is in good condition and we’d like to retain it if possible. Thanks

I recently had a hot water leak in the laundry that spilled into the adjoining kitchen / hall area. At the time, all visible water was removed and professional dehumidifiers /dryers were used, so I believed everything had dried properly. I was then away overseas and have just returned to find that sections of the floating timber flooring have started to buckle/lift and gaps have appeared between some boards. Approximately 5-6 boards are affected. They also had a heavy piece of furniture pushing pressure onto it which may have contributed to the uneven expansion / shrinkage. The floors were already older / not in perfect condition, so I’m not looking to replace the entire floor. I’m hoping to salvage and repair the existing boards wherever possible. I’m looking for an experienced timber flooring specialist who can assess the affected area, including checking the timber and underneath for residual / trapped moisture. I understand the repair may need to be completed in two stages: initially lifting / removing the affected boards so the area underneath can be properly inspected and, if necessary, allowed to dry completely; then returning once moisture levels are appropriate to relay / reseat and repair the existing flooring. Ideally you will have a moisture meter and experience with water-damaged floating timber floors. The priority is making sure everything underneath is properly dry before the floor is closed back up, while preserving as much of the existing flooring as possible. I need a handyman or carpenter to fix damaged timber subflooring in a hallway and turn a sloped ramp section into a single step. What needs to be done: Pull back carpet to access the floor. Remove and replace the damaged wood underneath. Remove the current ramp transition between the high and low floor sections. Build a solid single step to connect the two floor levels. Lay carpet back down over the new step/floor.

I'm looking for an experienced flooring installer to replace several water-damaged bamboo floorboards in my apartment in Neutral Bay, NSW. The water damage was caused by a leaking fridge and a robotic mop. Both issues have now been resolved. Scope of works: - Remove and replace approximately 2–4 damaged bamboo floorboards. - We have the original matching spare floorboards available, so no flooring materials need to be supplied. - Ensure the replacement boards are installed neatly and blend with the existing floor. I have a small upstairs timber balcony/deck that has several loose boards and areas of timber rot/deterioration. One section has visible holes, cracking and timber damage (see photos).
