Still looking for a hardwood floor installer. I am replacing the carpets in four bedrooms with hardwood flooring (not engineered). The wood is spotted gum 130mm x 19mm. The total floor area of the four bedrooms (including wardrobes) is approximately 60-65sqm. I already have the flooring and the glue. I do not have the nails but I can get or I can pay for whatever you buy. The hardwood is tongue and groove. We take ownership of the house in Gilston on 25 June and are looking to start installation ASAP so we can then start painting and move in. 110m2 (living, dining, hallways and 4 bedrooms) and 13 steps house with hardwood floor needs sanding and polishing. Upper floor, built in underneath so no draft through boards currently. Carpets have just come up so nail holes and maybe some floorboard gaps need filling. Carpet and gripper will all be removed prior to the job. Type and condition of wood pictured. We need the floors sanded and polished in a three bedroom house. Rooms to be done are the 3 x bedrooms, hallway, lounge, dining and kitchen. There is also an internal stairwell which has 10 stairs and a landing midway. Upstairs m2 is approx 80-90m2 not including stairwell. The floors are currently polished. There was cork board on top which has just been removed. The cork was stapled down so there are staple holes. Staples have been removed. We need this to be done between 16/10 and 23/10. This is just for 1 average sized bedroom. Summary of the jobs that need to be done: 1. Disassembly (partial) of bed and moved to another room - I will help with this 2. Removal and disposal of carpet and crap underneath, I can also help with this 3. Sanding and refinishing the floorboards and finding the correct stain and varnish to match the floorboards around the rest of the house. I will of course pay for the varnish and any materials needed for this. I also have random orbital sander if this helps. The part that I really need help with is refinishing the floorboards after the carpet is removed, and making sure the new varnish perfectly matches the other floorboards in the house.

Full sand and stain required for our original hard wooden floorboards. We have renovated our house and kitchen floor had vinyl so there’s glue and marks to be removed. Cabinets and kitchen will be complete by end of May, so 10th June start date would be good. Realise in person quote will be required prior to starting job.
