Finish partially-installed hybrid flooring (small bedroom) Looking for an experienced floor installer to finish off a hybrid floor in one bedroom (approx 12 m²) on the Gold Coast. The previous installer didn't finish the job properly, so there's a bit of remediation involved as well as completing the install: Remove existing carpet from the room (straight forward, one room) Check the subfloor is level and flag/fix any high or low spots before laying — I'm not sure how level it currently is. - Complete the flooring in the areas left unfinished. - Fix the expansion gapping, which wasn't done correctly around the edges - Supply and install the trims/transitions (missing in some spots) and skirting to the room Boards and underlay are already on site and supplied. Trims, transitions and skirting are to be supplied by you as part of the quote. It's a small room so shouldn't be a big job for the right person, but I do want it done properly and finished to a good standard given the last effort fell short. This is just for 1 average sized bedroom. Summary of the jobs that need to be done: 1. Disassembly (partial) of bed and moved to another room - I will help with this 2. Removal and disposal of carpet and crap underneath, I can also help with this 3. Sanding and refinishing the floorboards and finding the correct stain and varnish to match the floorboards around the rest of the house. I will of course pay for the varnish and any materials needed for this. I also have random orbital sander if this helps. The part that I really need help with is refinishing the floorboards after the carpet is removed, and making sure the new varnish perfectly matches the other floorboards in the house.

Full sand and stain required for our original hard wooden floorboards. We have renovated our house and kitchen floor had vinyl so there’s glue and marks to be removed.
