The exact final area can be confirmed during a site inspection. Rear Alfresco / Outdoor Area - Approximately 16–20 m² - Currently bare/unfinished ground — no existing paving - Main decking area is relatively level - A change in finished level is required toward the garage, including a properly constructed step/level transition - Deck to be neatly finished around the perimeter - I am also open to discussing a limestone-block perimeter around the rear deck as an alternative design. This is optional and can be priced separately if suitable. Front Porch - Smaller, separate decking area - Deck to finish approximately level with the front entry door - Deck extends toward and around the front of the house, including a recess around the planter - Deck terminates at the driveway with a properly framed/finished edge and a step/drop down to driveway level - No decking is required beyond the driveway Construction I am looking for a proper, durable low-level deck construction, including: - Appropriate concrete footings/supports - H4 treated pine structural subframe - Galvanised stirrups/brackets and suitable galvanised fixings - Composite decking boards with an appropriate concealed/approved fixing system - Properly constructed steps and level transitions - Neat fascia and edge finishing Decking Material I'm open to good-quality composite decking such as Ekodeck, ModWood, NewTechWood, Trex or an equivalent product. Pest-control reticulation will be completed before the decking construction starts, so the decking contractor will be working after this installation is complete. 5 new marrie timber planks have been installed to replace existing planks in one corner of the house (photo attached). Need them and a few nearby ones, sanded and polished to roughly match the existing solvent based marrie flooring and install associated skirting.
