Hi, I am looking for a professional handyman or carpenter (experienced with timber-frame townhouse floor structures) to help with the specific issue in the 2-story townhouse. Second-floor Squeaky Floor (Carpeted): There is significant squeaking and thumping noise on the second floor (specifically in one bedroom and on the stairs). I need you to secure the particleboard subfloor to the joists using screws to eliminate the noise and movement. (You may need to pull back the carpet edge or use a Squeeeeek No More type kit). Please advise if you have tools (Stud finder, drill, screws). I am happy to prepare some tools or materials required, except for those professional tools. Btw, I want your professional assessment on the cause of the ceiling damage (confirming it's impact-related, not water damage). Many thanks!

Small carpet burn mark need to repair

My washing machine leaked onto the carpet and I'm currently drying it out but I think the underlay needs to be replaced. Im looking for someone to come and take up the carpet and roll it back and remove the underlay so that the slab can dry out. Them returning a few days later to fit new underlay and refit existing carpet. Damaged area approx 2m x 3m Ive no idea what an appropriate fee is for this.

We're having new carpets installed and need someone to remove, plane, and reattach 20 internal and external doors across 3 visits. The doors currently rub against the existing carpet, so they'll need to be planed before reattachment to ensure they clear the new carpet. Schedule: 1. Wed 8 Apr – Remove all 20 doors and plane as needed so they won't rub against the new carpet. 2. Thu 9 Apr (afternoon) – Reattach approx half of the doors (priority being 4 (2 x double) external doors). Plane if needed once fitted against the new carpet. 3. Sat 11 Apr or later (date flexible) – Reattach the remaining doors. Plane if needed once fitted against the new carpet. The external doors are the priority for quick reattachment for security and weather protection, which is why they're scheduled for the day after carpet installation. Please quote for all 3 visits.
