We need your support in the organisation of the Norwegian national day celebration in Surry Hills. The job is divided into 2 parts. To start with, you will be a ticket master who will stand at the door and in the park outside the venue and check that all patrons show a ticket to get a wrist band from you. The team briefing starts at 9:30am so you have to be ready by then. You need to approach people and make sure everyone is wearing a wrist band. If people don’t have a ticket, you guide them to the registration link on our website so they can purchase a ticket. Everyone MUST have a ticket and a wristband. From approx 1pm we need your help to tidy cups, plates etc and put trash in bins. Put crockery into the commercial dishwasher and pack away once cleaned. Bag all bins and put them by the doors, sweep the floor etc. finish by 1:30pm Attire: either all black clothes, or white shirt/t-shirt and dark pants. No thongs and daggy pants. Sneakers ok. Tidy hair. Ticket Master Time: 9:30am Total Time: 3,5hrs Free food at the end of the event. Note: you will be compensated over time if agreed in advance. No negotiation on salary.

We need someone to unpack, set up, and make everything look finished and presentable. Start time: Midday today Deadline: By around 3:00pm tomorrow I will meet you onsite at the start to walk you through exactly what needs to be done. I’ll then be in and out during the day with some shopping/supplies as needed. Scope of work All items have been placed in rooms (to save time) and one bedroom is almost done - therefore will just need the bed made and pictures on the walls. Unpack and organise all kitchen and kitchenette items (5 kitchenettes + 1 main kitchen) Make 5 beds with linen, throws and pillows Hang 6–8 pictures on the walls (approx. one per bedroom & around 3 in living room and hallways) Hang 5 mirrors in bedrooms (one per room) Assemble a TV unit for Bedroom 1 Remove packaging inside of fridges in rooms & kitchen Put all rubbish/packaging into the trailer in the garage (flattened) Leave any unused items in a neat pile in the garage Requirements (important) Must be able to follow our setup plan/instructions (usually printed scopes - today will just be verbal communication) Must send progress photo updates during the job and a final photo set once complete via Whatsapp Must be reliable, tidy, and able to work independently Tools Basic tools helpful: tape measure, level, screwdriver/drill for drilling into bricks usually**, step stool.
