I need a plumber to fix a leaking hot water tank. I tightened the nut but it keeps leaking. Might need to reseal the joint. It is a steady leak (approx. 1 litre every few hours) coming from a joint. It is constant and does not depend on taps being turned on. Location: The water tank is in the attic. Access is easy via a standard door in the wall. Materials: Please include the cost of materials (solder, flux, or replacement couplings) in your total quote. Parking: Free parking is available on-site. Timing: Must be fixed before Christmas. There is definitely gas to the property as the stove is working. It appears there is no gas going to the heater for some reason. I've checked the knobs at the heater and the meter and both are in line with the pipe in the on position. No gas to heater cant smell or hear anything when turning the gas knob and trying to reignite pilot. Heater is a Rheem.
