Our water heater was installed a few years ago, and ever since we’ve had issues where a loud banging/chattering noise occurs every time a cold water tap is opened in the house. No noise when a hot water tap is opened and also no noise when the water heater inlet valve is shut. Supply and install high-quality replacement valves (please mention brand you will use) as well as an inline water hammer arrestor on that inlet line.
