I’m currently installing a decoupled soundproof wall over an existing wall and need an electrician to adapt a ground-level power socket. The new framing and acoustic drywall will bring the wall surface forward by 76mm. I’m looking for a quote for the following work: Pre-build: Disconnect / safe-off the existing power socket so framing work can proceed safely. Cable extension: Extend the existing wiring to accommodate the 76mm increase in wall depth (plus extra slack). Box mounting: Mount an electrical back box to the new decoupled stud frame (allowing space for an acoustic putty pad to wrap around it). Final fit-out: Re-terminate and fit the faceplate flush with the new drywall once the soundproofing team finishes installation.
