We bought a 4BR, 30 year old home last May 2024. Our home consists of 2 fridges, 1 split type AC/heater that we seldom use, 1 washing machine. We are 4 people in home mostly working 8am to 4pm. Living in Melbourne, VIC. In the future I am planning to have induction stove/oven, electric heat pump and a dishwasher. Then on August 2024, we had Solar installed. These are the details of my solar: System size (kW): 13.2 No. of panels: 30 Panel type: JA Solar Panel watts: 440 Panel volts: 38.90 Panel ISC: 14.31 VOC: 556 Inverter make: goodwe Inverter capacity: 9.9KVA Export limit: 5KW No solar battery. The solar company also upgraded my main power switchboard because it is old. Then after one month, we noticed some power outrages especially between 11AM to 2PM when the sun is so bright even only one person is at home and just using lights, washing machine is off, AC is off. But night time when all of us are present at home and using the appliances, we never experience power outrage. I am wondering if it is connected to solar? Then I asked the company, and they told me that I only have 32A in our home with a 6mm cable so I need to upgrade the main cable so I can increase the amps in our home. But asked him and he can’t do that. I asked the Powercor as well but they said I need an electrician to coordinate with them. So now I am looking for qualified electrician to do this work.
